HFBK Annual exhibition 2024

Comparing, approaching, and engaging with survival and prepping culture, as well as (social) cocooning, the process of pupation and ensnarement. Questions arise regarding worth, the transmission of knowledge, a collective yearning for retreat, carefree living, and community. The notion of an imaginary shelter intertwines with reminiscences of crafting childhood forts, echoing the primal longing for the protected womb — a form of escapism from reality and its parallels with survival strategies.
